We are happy to announce that Bob Brookmeyer has been named as one the National Endowment for the Arts' 2006 Jazz Masters!!

Also named 2006 Jazz Masters: Chick Corea, Tony Bennett, Ray Baretto, Buddy DeFranco, Freddy Hubbard and John Levy.

"The class of N.E.A. Jazz Masters demonstrates an exciting breadth of styles that speaks to the richness of the jazz tradition." Besides the designation, each honoree is to receive a fellowship award of $25,000 and an invitation to participate in broadcasts and the endowment's jazz masters tour."
